Google has previously held on to search data for as long as they deem it useful. While they don’t say how long that is, I’m guessing a few years since you can pull historical data from different areas of the country based on IP addresses. Now, they’ve decided to update their privacy policy by anonymizing search data after 18-24 months, unless law enforcement can come up with a compelling reason to change that time frame.
Now, if I could just find a Google Employee willing to pass my resume along for a position in Oregon… Hmm…
