A Shift In Posts

Life and Living

Over the last month, I’ve slowed down on my posts quite a bit. I even started to make my posts smaller in size to try to pound them out a little quicker, but in doing so, post quality suffered. In typing this, I feel like saying sorry, but at the same time, I really wanted to offer a reason.

On top of my posts slowing down, I’ve neglected a few stories a bit (although, I’m working on a few good sized stories, its just slow going), but I’ve also neglected my email contacts a bit as well. To the people that have emailed me and expected a reply, I’m sorry I haven’t responded very fast or at all. I actually do know who you are and have plans to respond as soon as I can sit in front of my main computer on a normal basis or when I have more time.

Now For The Reason
I’ve managed to land a dream job. The kind of job offer you just don’t pass up. The perks of this job just far outweigh anything else I’ve ever seen.

Anyway, over the next few months, I’ll probably be posting more on the Microsoft side of things instead of Linux. ASP.Net instead of PHP and SharePoint instead of Mambo/Joomla (Although I’m sure I’ll compare a few features) and I’m sure I’ll post a few rants here and there as well. On top of this, my posting times will remain longer apart than before because of the amount of time I have. Heck, I’ve even reformatted a beloved FreeBSD server to turn it into a Win2003 Enterprise SharePoint Server (I just about cried doing that…). I’ve also stepped up my Homemade Portable Double Rack project (a story is due out later about that).

In the coming months, I’ll need to be studying for my Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and after that, I’ll be studying for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and after that, who knows what else I’ll need to study, but regular education will be on the top of the list as well. (This is the reason for the laptop I need, etc.)
