DVDs on SUSE?

SUSE 9.3 Pro, The "I figured it out" Dept.

So, when most people throw a CD into SUSE, they are met with that breaking glass sound and a note that says that Novell has [unfortunately] disabled these features.

Well, I had the pleasure of finding a site that had decent directions to allow the installation of applications that are not disabled.

Read over Madpenguin.org. You can also look over Suselinuxsupport.de.

I basically merged the two. I disabled my local DVD copy of YaST2 sources and enabled the Pacman sources. After using Yast to install the same software (not apt), I can now watch DVDs. I’m actually watching V For Vendetta right now… Cheers
